In future all information pertaining to living examples of fossil humans, Almas of Asia and the American counterpart,is to be sent to the Frontiers of Anthropology blog. If there is any new information on uncaught anthropoid apes, Yetis, Yeren, Yowies or Skunk apes (NAPEs), it shall be treated as any other news item, but I don't see any particular value in going over the older information again. Any information on fossil Gigantopithecus or possible survival of Gigantopithecus is to be given a higher priority, but once again we intend to focus on new material and news items on this blog.
Orangutan and Orang Pendek. Orang Pendek is considered identical to the smaller kind
of Yeti and Yeren, and a kind of Australian Yowie: similar creatures are also reported in
both North and South America. This information is still in exact accordance with Ivan T.
Sanderson's remarks on the subject made in 1961

Comparing Cryptid Ape Tracks
Some Comparisons of the Yeti "Mittenfoot" track cast of Cronin as provided by Dr. Meldrum
with Asian apes (Orangutan) and some purported "Unknown" ape tracks:
Above, photograph by Glen Mullet, and below the closeup
with Asian apes (Orangutan) and some purported "Unknown" ape tracks:
First the cast compared to the foot of an adult male orangutan,
and then the cast "Trimmed" to show only the contact (footprint) area
The Yeti track is more developed but the big toe does seem to come off about the same
place as it does in the orangutan. The (uncurled) toes are much shorter and both adaptations
are for a ground living (terrestrial) species as opposed to a tree-climbing one.
Above, Orang Pendek and a young orangutan foot (extended)
and below the Yeti track cast compared to the Orang Pendek track cast
Please remember that Heuvelmans referred to the commoner reddish form of Yeti as
"The Little Yeti (Le Petit Yeti), later saying it was likely only another form of orangutan,
and that Ivan T. Sanderson said this one was the same as the Orang Pendek
The fact that orangutan feet can be very variable even in the same individual at different ages makes it more difficult to say whether or not the Yetis and Orangutans or Orang Pendeks are actually completely different species. It also makes sorting out "Yeti" tracks more difficult.
Gordon Mullet's Eastern Bigfoot cast
(Evidentally the same as the Skunk ape of Florida and Swamp ape of Texas/Louisiana)
Shows resemblance to both Yeti and Orang Pendek-Broader and heavier like the Yeti but with the reduced big toe like the Orang Pendek and Orangutan.
Gordon Mullet Writes:
Hello, Here is a ORANGATANS HAND,, looks like the one I photographed on the EASTERN BIGFOOT, Coshocton, county ,Ohio,, See: Cover MY page f/b,See: profile
Impression of Eastern Bigfoot by Gordon Mullet
Gordon Mullet and a track cast, from Dr Meldrum's Facebook page
Hoax footprint of the Honey Island Swamp Monster. From M K Davis' Facebook wall, and Davis writes: This person is Ricky Holiness. He is the discoverer of the shoe out in the swamp.
He had to look for quite a while in his home for the shoe, but eventually found it.
This is really a great story and Jay Michael tells it eloquently in his documentary.
This same type of hoax footprint (Alligator's foot fastened to the bottom of a shoe) has been repeated elsewhere and some of the Skunk Ape, Swamp Monster or Eastern Bigfoot tracks
(including "3-Toed tracks") come from such a source.
The footprint does unfortunately have some similarities to the more legitimate, more apelike tracks
Some of the Ape tracks feature a long narrow foot and heel and resemble this "Dogman" footprint (from Scott Campbell on Facebook) and are probably actually from dog footprints where the whole foot is printed and not just the paw pads, and composite tracks from more than one footprint from the dog, superimposed.

Bigfoot News From Robert Lindsay
According to Robert Lindsay, this news just in - the body of an Orang Pendek has been kept by scientists for the past 17 years!! Also a new photograph from New Mexico, the Harris photograph, has appeared and looks worthy of discussion. As well as this, there is more on Matilda the presumed Wookie costume. Read Robert's latest news blog to see what it is happening right now......

BIGFOOT NEWS - 14TH OCTOBER 2013
robertlindsay.wordpress.com
Wildlife conservation organization has had the body of an Orang Pendek for 17 years! The Wildlife Conservation Service out of New York is a conservation organization that works to protect habitat and wildlife all over the world. One of the places they work is Sumatra. In Sumatra, one of the places they work is the Barisan Mountains in southern Sumatra....
[DD Adds: the statements being made about this apparent Orang Pendek so far read as if the people in charge of the body are not certain if it is any different from the ordinary orangutans that live in Sumatra. The DNA tests are meant to confirm or deny that possibility.
Robert says the object in Brenda Harris' photograph looks like a Bigfoot. By that I suppose he means it looks like Harry out of Harry and the Hendersons. Although details are difficult to make out, the proportions of the head and shoulders are consistent with the head and shoulders of an ordinary human being.Thy are not inconsistent with a person in a costume. The Bigfoot in this photo does not look like the head and shoulders of the female in the Patterson-Gimlin film, which ARE INCOMPATIBLE with the head and shoulders of an ordinary human being and hence not likely to be a person in a costume because of that]
Harry and Patty: No Comparison, Harry is the Big Head as vs the Bigfoot!

The Malaysian Bigfoot Mystery - An Earlier Take
by Carlosox
by Carlosox
Posted: 00:05 December 3, 2006
The recent reports about the sighting of a Bigfoot type of creature in the forests of Malaysia is not something new. There have been many such sightings previously in the recorded history of that country. Much notice was not taken about these cases however, as reports about paranormal incidents are rife in Malaysia. The fact that the present incident has seen so much press was due mainly to the fact that the parties who were involved hoped to gain monetarily by doing so. The Malaysian government too got into the act, hoping to promote the country as a tourist destination for those interested in the paranormal.A' Bigfoot' sighting took place in the 1970s in a plantation I used to work in. It was a localized affair, and hardly made a ripple in any of the tabloids of the country. It has some significance however in the light of the recent sightings.
A new plantation company was founded near the town of Sitiawan in Peninsular Malaysia around the 1960s and 1970s. Being a new company without many assets, it had to start small. Clearing of the forest was done on a piecemeal basis, and recruitment of good and reliable staff proved to be a problem mainly due to the remoteness of the area. Work progressed however; and to keep track of this, a small office was built in a clearing in the forest right in the middle of the property, which was still mainly forest. Staff who were monitoring the clearing operation by contractors could retire to this office during lunch hour and have a little shut eye after their meal, not being bothered by leeches or blood sucking flies. As work progressed, the office got a little bigger. Files were now stored in the office as well as copies of important documents. The directors thought that employing night watchmen for the office was a good idea, especially since the felling contractors stored the diesoline for their machines in drums in the office compound.
A night watchman was soon working in the office compound from 7pm to 7am everyday. All he had with him however in order to perform his duties were a stout pole, a torchlight, a hurricane lamp and the key to the toilet (the directors thought that if he really got into trouble, he could lock himself up in the toilet!). The watchman reported to the staff that arrived at the office at 7am every morning, before he signed off for the day. Everything went on fine for a while. The watchman had nothing to report every morning. There were no incidents during the night.
One day however, when the staff arrived in the morning, there was no sign of the watchman. What greeted them however was a picture of destruction. Flower pots were smashed, and the diesel drums were tossed about or overturned. The desk and table at which the watchman used to sit were smashed. When the staff was taking all this in, they heard a faint voice calling them. 'Tuan', ' tuan ' ( Sir, Sir ), it called weakly. The staff checked for the location of the voice and found it to be coming from the top of a coconut palm nearby. There almost at the top of the palm tree was perched the watchman. He was as pale as a ghost and trembling like a leaf. The staff coaxed him to come down which he did slowly and painfully. When the staff inquired as to what had happened, this is what he had to say.
At around 2am, the watchman heard a series of piercing screams coming from the jungle just outside the office compound. He immediately put out his hurricane lamp, and crouched in a corner and watched the area from where the sound was coming. It was a moonlit night, and the watchman could see very clearly. The screams got closer. Suddenly, breaking out of the undergrowth stood what the watchman could describe only as a gorilla. It was ape like, covered in dark hair and stood about four feet tall. It looked immensely powerful as it lumbered toward where the diesel drums were kept. The watchman watched in fear and trepidation as the creature grabbed the forty five gallon drums filled with diesel and flung them around like toys. The drums were stored at the other end of the office compound from where the watchman was. As soon as the creature had finished with the drums, it moved towards the flower pots. The watchman did not wait any longer. He crept away out of sight of the creature and climbed up the coconut palm. With ear piercing shrieks, the creature continued its destruction of whatever was in the compound. Then silence fell. The watchman did not dare move from his perch, fearing the creature might still be around. The fact that it looked ape like did not help matters much as scaling up the palm tree would be the easiest thing for it.
The watchman quit immediately. Another was employed. Everything went on as usual for a time. Then when the staff arrived one morning, it was a repeat of the above incident. The office door had been smashed in. Chairs and tables that were present in the office were flung in the lawn in front of the office. This time however, the new watchman was not up a tree. He had locked himself up in the toilet as he had no time to make it to the tree. The creature had moved too fast. For good measure, the watchman climbed on top of the water cistern which was in the toilet. It was a concrete structure about seven feet above ground. This guard had the same tale to tell. Blood curdling screams, followed by the appearance of an ape like creature covered in black hair, which then carried out the destruction.
The directors decided that things had gone too far. They erected a perimeter fence round the office, installed a generator set and had the office compound lit the whole night through. The attacks stopped after this.
The recent sightings of 'Bigfoot 'in Malaysia could be the very same species that the guards had seen. It is interesting to note that the aboriginals of Australia also describe about an ape like creature that stands about four feet tall, is covered in dark hair and is immensely powerful. In my opinion, it could be a species of ape that is yet to be described by science due mainly to the remote areas it inhabits.[in this case the 4-5 foot tall one is just about "Standard human" size- there are also bigger ones and smallerones, as also stated in Australia. The Apes and humans are likewise to be differentiated better]

Hundreds of Bizarre Footprints Attributed to Fearsome Bigfoot-Like Monster Stalking Malaysia
By Dana Matthews on June 19, 2013@planetweirddanaSome 200 bizarre footprints were stumbled upon in Malaysia last weekend, and the find is sending villagers into a panic for fear that the Orang Lenggor, their terrifying local man-ape monster, is stalking the nearby woods.
The long trail of prints was accidentally found on Saturday afternoon by 48 year old Kampung Kepis Baru villager, Adnan Pungut as he cleaned his workplace at a local rubber estate.
“I immediately informed the others because I was scared. I told the other villagers and all of us went back to the area,” Pungut told The Star Online. We found 200 footprints that were about the same size and tried to follow them. Based on the footprints, we can assume that the creature has two legs and weighs more than 100kg.”
A sweep of the area turned up evidence that the footprints made their way into a heavily wooded area, though the group decided that following the tracks any further could be hazardous to their health and called off the search.
The Orang Lenggor, or Lenggor Man, is basically Malaysia’s version of Bigfoot, though aren’t seen quite as cuddly and curious as their North American counterparts, with reports of their wanton destruction and blood curdling screams well-documented for years. One report from 2006 recounts a terrified warehouse nightwatchman’s encounter with the beast as it tosses 40 gallon drums of kerosene around “like toys”.
Unfortunately no images of the newly-discovered footprints have yet come to light, leaving us with only first-hand accounts the creature that may or may not have left them in its wake. Here’s hoping the big guy makes another appearance, and this time around someone savvy enough to have a camera pointed in his direction.
Did Malaysian villagers stumble upon the tracks of the fearsome Orang Lenggor? Does the Lenggor Man bear a grudge against the high price of kerosene? We want to know what you think! Share your thoughts with us on Facebook, tweet us @WhoForted, or leave a comment below!

Yeti Portrait
Jay Michael Cooney commented on this illustration in a Facebook discussion group, saying it was a good representation of the Yeti. Indeed it looks very much like the descriptions given of the Yeti, but it shows the Little Yeti (Heuvelmans' le Petit Yeti) at the size of the larger Yeti (le Grand Yeti).
It also does bear a good resemblance to my own reconstruction artwork, although in a more finished final piece of art. Once again, the name "Yeti" is completely vague and nondeterminative, and might be equally well applied to any number of unrelated things.

More Materials On Differentiating Bigfoot, Yeti, Skunk Ape, Wildman and Sasquatch
Above is a facial portrait and below is a footprint of the Eastern Bigfoot, which is often compared to a "Caveman" in appearance. The term Eastern Bigfoot has been used since the 1970s to discriminate the type, although there are problems with using that term since it has also been applied to the more apelike Skunk Ape (see below), with equal vigour and for about the same length of time.
The footprints and build of this creature (Which I call the American Almas) are very much like Neanderthal fossils and so is the shape of the skull, face and braincase. They are burly creatures built like old-time professional wrestlers and with short bandy legs. Their arms turn out to be not particularly overlong in comparison to Caucasian Homo sapiens, but both hands and feet are large enough to seem outsized. Both hands and feet are squared-off in appearance. The top of the head is usually domed rather than peaked and one gets the impression of a head distinct from the shoulders
The following photo is from Ohio and if genuine it would be one of these Eastern Bigfoots.
It seems to be running with unusual vigour and it has been suggested it would not be possible for a man in a suit to perform this action at such a great speed. The proportions look human enough.
Eastern Bigfoot drawings from an article posted on the blog recently.
The profile is similar to the famous "March of fossil humans" from the Time-Life book Early Man.
The head-on view is a close match for the "Mecheny" Almas seen in Siberia.
Two peculiarities are associated with the American Almas males: the first is that the crown of the head can have thinning hair, or be partly to wholly bald on top; the second is that they can have beards and moustaches ranging from just noticeable to full-beard-hanging-to-the-waist.

Further to the south there are what Sanderson called The Little Red Men of the Bottomlands (or of the Mississippi delta) and wondered if the reports could be related to runaway orangutans (in 1961): soon after that, "Skunk ape" reports started coming in from Florida

There is a great range in track shapes depending on how closely the big toe is clenched to the foot

Footprint cast for the Skunk Ape: in this example, the two smallest toes seem to have run together in casting. These tracks characteristically show an opposed big toe: more recently they are often said to resemble the Orang Pendek tracks from Sumatra and lately publicised. Below is a comparison of the-is kind of "Bigfoot" with the typical (Smaller) Yeti from the Himalayas. A close match in proportions and stance. This type of Yeti is ordinarily said to be the size of a teenager or a young man for the males, females much smaller. These Yetis typically live at lower altitudes in the jungles (where they are known under different names) and only rarely go over the mountains when they need to get from one valley to another, and that most likely because of feeding patterns and population pressures.
