Good Contrast of Different Kinds of 'Bigfoot' from Indiana

The Facebook grou for Stonegraphics (in association with the Indiana Bigfoot organization) has this picture as their homepage picture, the banner for the page. It was posted by Gray Wolf and he gave me the permission to reprint it here. I did a double take when I saw it because I could tell at once the Bigfoots did not belong to the same species. To illustrate this specifically, I cut out the main part from the middle and edited it slightly to make it clearer below (Primarily I shortened the overly long arms of the creature on the  left hand side of the picture, when they were obviously meant to mirror the arms of the much more apelike creature on the right hand side of this cutout)

Here we have clearly: A) The larger Classic Sasquatch in the middle (not a native of this area to my understanding, but I could be mistaken)
B ), The Wildman type or Eastern Bigfoot at Left (Looking much like Heuvelmans' illustration for "Homo pongioides" and in Indiana we have both the footprints that are very like some of the Central Asian "Almas" tracks, plus some newspaper accounts of discoveries of Neanderthal-type skeletons)
And C) The smaller, more obviously apelike creature on the right (I have also picked out its special eyes, nostrils and big toes to match the reports better: I consider this face to be likely very near the truth with the eyes and nostrils situated I these positions. I may even have indicated the eyes as too far apart: the shape of the face around the eye sockets is very much like some of the fossil apes.)

The more apelike creatures are often distinctly reddish ("Auburn") and Loren Coleman indicates reports of NAPES in Southern Indiana as well as Illinois. They are fond of apples and other fruits, nuts and especially acorns and pine nuts (in pine cones) and will stockpiles hordes of these for lean times: they are also said to hibernate like bears over the winter although this has been denied.

The three types are a good match for the "Big Yeti, Wildman (Mi-go) and Little Yeti"as depicted along with Bernard Heuvelmans by his ex-wife on the commemorative postcard below:

The homepage picture above is donated by Steve Abney of the Hoosier Bigfooters:

Once more we again have striking confirmation that the skull of the Eastern Bigfoot creature much resembles that of the Neanderthal man. And Neanderthals are only another type of Homo sapiens, our own species. They are hairy people, much as many of the witnesses are saying these days. What scanty DNA analysis results we do have indicate that the DNA is  99.5% similar to modern humans, which happens to be the same as the Neanderthal range. This was never stated openly in the past.

Below is another picture of one of these Wildmen in obvious robust good health.
(The crown of the head is even somewhat TOO high here, but the idea is that the top of the head is high and rounded, more than pointed, and there is a good breath of obvious forehead often showing, giving a much more human-like appearance than in the far-Western Sasquatch type.

Jay Cooney reminded me that he had also published on the idea that Neanderthals were hairy in life:

Related News Item: This just came in at the Facebook Page Bigfoot Believers...

This is the earliest known photograph of a possible Sasquatch footprint, taken in 1947 near Eureka, California. This shows evidence of footprints pre-1958, when the Bigfoot craze erupted and skeptics claims was the birth of a hoax

Bigfoot Video Images from YouTube

A selection of Bigfoot Videos posted on YouTube and which were pointed out in Bigfoot Discussion groups I belong top on Facebook.

I won't vouch for the validity of all the faces that are found in the shadows but my feeling is that there is a certain kind of consistency to them and if any number of them is genuine then this is definitely something worth looking into. The face as mapped out below definitely matches several reports of what the face of a juvenile Eastern Bigfoot looks like. The Eye sockets are probably even more circular than that

This last one might be a NAPES (North American Apes) report because it looks an awfully lot like a partial view of a gorilla on all fours. It is from Ohio and as it is pointed out, the part we are looking at is surely not part of a bear or dog.

Skunk Ape as Fine Art

Henri Rousseau-Tropical Landscape American Indian Struggling with Gorilla (1910)
Oil on canvas 113,6 x 162,5 cm - Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, USA

This very unusual painting now hangs in Viginia. A typical assessment of the painting is in the following review:

Best known for his imagined "jungle" scenes, this self-taught painter -- who didn't quit his day job with the Parisian customs service until the ripe old age of 49 -- never set foot outside France. That wasn't enough to stop someone with a taste for the exotic from taking flights of visual fancy, fueled mainly by trips to the local botanical gardens, zoo and natural history museum of Paris's Jardin des Plantes, not to mention a steady diet of lowbrow tabloids and picture postcards. From the looks of more than one of his fanciful tableaux (e.g., "Tropical Landscape -- An American Indian Struggling With a Gorilla"), his research was less than meticulous.
No matter.
 http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/07/13/AR2006071300377.html

Actually from what I can gather, Rousseau's subject matter was garnered from tales told by the French expedition troops returning from Mexico, even though he had not gone himself, and in this case the "Tropical Jungle" might well be intended to represent Florida with the "Gorilla" then being a Skunk Ape (My inferrance, you may take that or leave it as you wish) Some of the vegetation is Mexican, and that part probably does come by way of the military men's scuttlebutt.

NAPE Photo

Photo c/o Bruce Costello. A Facebook Friend of mine posted this photo of a supposed Bigfoot and  I thought it looked very much like a mother orangutan with a long snout and long messy fur, with a clinging infant that also looks very much like an orangutan. I would guess this belongs along with the Myakka ape to a native species of ape capable of living in warm-temperate forests and eating primarily fruit like apples and pears from orchards, acorns and pine nuts, and probably a large amount of insect and small animal matter including bird nestlings and organic refuse (human garbage) Other disagree with me and they have said so publically. I am still putting up this photo in the belief that I do have the proper interpretation of it. Whatever it is, it seems to be of a quite large size. The left hand seems to be in front at the far right of the picture and showing four regular fingers.

[This was reprinted at the CFZ Blog yesterday: I am adding it on again here because it seems to me everybody is missing the point]

There have been reported sightings of bigfoot in remote East Texas locations, and even near Dallas, and a photographer says he has proof that bigfoot may be closer than we think. The Dallas area photographer, who remains anonymous , was never a bigfoot believer by his own admission.
"No, I've never seen one , never believed in one," he says.
But a huge stone thrown at him in the woods one camping trip, with no one else around, changed his mind.
"An object landed within ten feet of us that I know of no human being able to throw it that far. There was one about 10 foot tall. A family group drew in close, three of which got within 15 feet of me. It looked like something out of a Steven Spielberg movie, not human as I know it," he says.
He shot images in Shelby county of something moving in the woods. Outside of Dallas he shot images of something large and hairy watching from the trees. But light and shadow can play tricks. East Texas bigfoot researcher Mike Hall and his team from Texla crypto zoological research examined the images to see if they have merit.
"Some of the shots you can actually make out what looks like a pair of eyes. There is something there staring back at him taking video. There is something there, question is, what is it?," Hall says.
One shot looking very similar to the Roger Patterson bigfoot film of 1967. A crest or conical ridge on what appears to be the head.
"The cone looking head, in the still shot that's very compelling, something definitely moving across the brush just observing," says fellow researcher Larry Parks.
The photographer is keeping his identity anonymous but did say he would be releasing more video evidence in the future.

To me this does NOT look like your typical Bigfoot, nor is the large bluntly rounded head resemble the creature in the Patterson film in the least. To me this looks exacly like a gorilla and for that reason I am classifying this sighting as a "Skunk Ape" rather than the more usual types of Bigfoot seen in the East or in the Far West.
Best Wishes, Dale D.

Extreme Expeditions Bigfoot Trail Cam Update

I am currently holding on a statement directly from the campers portrayed in the video footage and the stills, and they disavow any chance of having a guy wrapped in a sleeping bag have a smoke while on camera, they feel strongly that it is an unknown anthropoid. Unfortunately I do not have such a statement yety, only the assurance that such a statement is on the way.

Earlier today this statement came up on the EE Facebook page:

Morning world.

Due to the amount of traffic coming through the .net website, we have had to move servers, so the main site will probably be down for around 48 hours. Apologies!

Extreme Expeditions Bigfoot Footage 9-2012

Unknown “Creature” Captured On Trail Camera

An international team has returned from investigating the creature known as Sasquatch with a clear image that two world experts have been unable to identify.

 http://www.extreme-expeditions.net/media/press-releases/unknown-creature-captured-on-trail-camera
The image and accompanying 1 sec film clip was taken by a trail camera in the team’s camp at approx. 02:30 on Tuesday 4th September 2012 in the North Cascades National Park, Washington State, an area renowned for Sasquatch activity.

The team spent two weeks in the area and although they experienced a plethora of “associated” Sasquatch activity, rock-throwing, screams, unexplained noises, they objectively could not say what these incidents were caused by.

The image, however, shows an unidentifiable object situated between an extinguished campfire and two team members who were sleeping outside unaware.

The image and film clip were sent to Jeff Meldrum, Professor of Anatomy and Anthropology at Idaho State University and to Ian Redmond O.B.E., a field biologist for investigation. Despite thorough analysis they have been unable to come to any conclusion on the evidence presented – but neither have they disregarded it as fake or immediately explainable.

Notes for Editors:

Extreme Expeditions Ltd (EE Ltd) who organised and participated in this expedition comprises field researchers Adam Davies and Andrew Sanderson, who have conducted worldwide research into unknown creatures for the last 14 years, most notably the Orang Pendek in Sumatra.
[There is a fairly good possibility that the creature shown by the trailcam might actually BE a closer relative to the Orang Pendek rather than to the traditional Bigfoot-DD]

The team joined with Lori Simmons, whose father, the late Donnald Wallace researched Sasquatch in this area over a period of 28 years, an area she regularly continues to investigate.

The remainder of the field team comprised: Dave Archer, who has been on a number of field expeditions and saw the Orang Pendek in 2009 - one of only a handful of Westerners to have seen this creature in the last 50 years. Tim de Frel, on his second expedition with EE Ltd. Jackie Tonks and Simon Mellor are personal friends on their first expedition with EE Ltd.

I feel it is very important to advise that although the time/date stamp is incorrect on all images (showing 25/12/2009 and incorrect times) we regularly reset the settings on trailcams for both the date and the number of images/film length to shoot – but more often than not, it reset itself to its default settings and dates – we have no idea why.

However from our own knowledge of the night in question and regular events we can make a good assumption to times as explained on each image.

The purpose of this image is to show the fire and the nightime layout of the camp. Also more importantly how warm objects show up on the cameras – in this case the fire. Bottles and objects can be seen on the table which is large table and of the wooden picnic variety. You can clearly see a pair of boots to the immediate left of the table – toes pointing towards the camera and also sleeping material crumpled up.

Here the same layout as above but the fire is extinguished. We can still clearly see sleeping matter and a pair of boots as per above. We know that the team retired to bed at roughly midnight as the fire was dying down and that two team members rose to use the restroom at 04:30. So from the times stamped on the camera we know that this is roughly 02:30 on the 04th September 2012.

Most importantly here we have the unknown “object” in frame. The light -coloured image to the left of the picnic table.

• Reproduction 5
Using Dave Archer, the stockiest built of the team, to replicate the posture and position of the “object”. By doing this we could ascertain its position in relation to the fire area and the table and also get an indication of the size of the “object”. Dave Archer is 5’ 9”/1m 75cm high and weighs 12st 12lb/82kg. The reproduction image is shot from ground level whereas the camera trap was at a height of approximately 6 feet about ground. The newspapers used to insulate the ground for sleeping on are still clearly visible to the right of Dave. He is squatted down on his haunches looking at the area between the fire and the picnic table.

Here are the measurements of the contents of the images which may help with scale.

table length 244cm
table width 88cm
table height 73cm
table edge to BBQ 183cm
seat edge to BBQ 169cm
BBQ height 64cm
edge seat to fire pit 274cm
fire pit width 131cm
fire pit height 38cm
BBQ height 64cm

Many thanks

Matt Bille Interesting. The re-creation by the team member helps a lot. It seems absurd that the most elusive large animal in the world would be videoed taking a stroll through a public campground with fire sites and picnic tables, but certainly bears as well as primates have been known to make the same kind of visits, and it's not a stretch that an unknown primate, even a wary one, would occasionally poke around near sleeping humans to see what might be edible. I've never been a fan of the idea sasquatch is normally nocturnal - we have no known nocturnal apes and only a few nocturnal monkeys. Again, though, humans are certainly not a nocturnal species and yet we do poke around in the dark at times. It would be interesting to do the re-creation again at the right time of night to see how bright a human being in clothing shoes up in the infrared, but you folks might have thought of this already and done it (?)

[Matt is in error. ALL of the great apes have shifted to more nighttime activity when under pressure by human encroachment into their territory]

Damian Bravo
OK here is my analysis of the the trailcam phto from the Extreme Expedition posted by Shawn.

Dale Drinnon This is very interesting. My first impression was that the head and shoulders were entirely different from the typical Bigfoot [or from Patty in the Patterson/Gimlin film] and that this was an apelike creature standing at full height and NOT kneeling down. The originating site does mention that it closely resembles a gorilla...but it could be kneeling as you state and the back of the head built up by a large hood in a costume. I might well like to reprint this in my blog but I am undecided as to what my final decision on it might be.
Dale Drinnon Incidentally I was sent notice of this photo while I was being interviewed over the phone by a representativre of one of those "Unsolved Mystery" type TV shows and we discussed the photo at that time, about noon earlier today (about 11 hours ago)

Damian Bravo Forgive my type-os put this together quickly and the program I use does nto spell check.

There is also a video which I shall post here once we have a copy posted to YouTube, and here are some comments on the video from the Extreme Expeditons copy on their FB page:

Extreme Expeditions The quality doesn't show up too well on the FB uploader so once it is on YouTube first thing tomorrow we will advise of the URL :)smile

Jason Mattick What do you guys make of the protrusion on the upper right of the creature in the latter frames? Kind of looks like a snout? [Something like a snout appears very briefly in the video footage, but it does not appear to match a bear's snout]

Extreme Expeditions To me ,the closest thing it looks like,is a Gorilla, and I have seen them wild in the Congo.Adam.

Jason Mattick Overall shape looks very gorillaish. Your cams are motion activated? And you have now posted all of the pictures with the creature in them?

David Bradford Hall I think the creature is human.....and it's in a sleeping bag....half asleep....!

Recently the group on Facebook Extreme Expeditions posted a trailcam phtos which some believe is the possible back of a Bigoot. Is what we are seeing a possible photo of the elusive creature know as bigfoot. Team Tazer Bigfoot's Damian Bravo put this together and its shows some very interesting factors on the strange figure in the photos.

"Quadruped Bigfoots" by Charles Middleton and below, another attempt to get the quadruped pose right

There is a growing subsection of "Bigfoot" reports which are different from the norm in that the creatures described are very much more apelike and they are known to leave tracks with divergent or opposed big toes and to commonly travel on all-fours, the striking portrait at the left comes from Alabama and it turned up on my photosearch intended to go with the "Hog Hunter" story previously printed on this blog. It might instead actually depict the original for the Skunk Ape,the much more apelike creature reported sporadically in the SE area of the USA. Whether or not this latest trailcam creature represented at the top part of this blog is the same as the Skunk Ape remains to be determined

Apple-snitchers

From the Facebook Page:

MegumoowÄ•soos are described as a bipedal humanoid about four-feet-tall and covered in reddish-brown hair is called an “albatwitch” (or apple-snitch) in Pennsylvania. The small, hairy creature might have been known to Native North American Indian tribes centuries before. In Algonquin legend, creatures called MegumoowÄ•soos (MEG-um-OH-wee-SOOS) were described as “small hairy creatures who dwelt among the rocks and made such wonderful music on the flute that all who heard it were bewitched”. Legend maintained that “several megumoowesoos dwelling on the summits of high hills and mountains in the almost unexplored region around Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.”

This looks once again as if it might be the small-reddish-haired native ape said to live in the Eastern United States, often compared to an orangutan and said to be the same as the Skunk Apes of Florida. The part about playing flute musuc which bewitches humans is found also in faeriy stories from Western Europe and is not directly connected to them in reports, at best it shows a connection in the Folklore between the two areas.  I am simply running the material including the photograph as it came to me, I do not claim responsibilty for taking it or authorizing it as authentic. The originating site must take that responsibility.

MK Davis New Video, Young Bigfoot-up-a-Tree

MK Davis just added this video to his YouTube account, saying that it represents a young Bigfoot climbing around in a tree. Video footage with enhancement and commentary:

Published on May 31, 2012 by
Caught in the low light of a setting sun, an alleged juvenile Bigfoot scampers up a tree and spends a raucous moment in front of the camera. M.K.Davis analyzes the short clip and provides commentary for it.  Standard YouTube License,

Thanks for all you do MK!

  • Sadly you can not tell if this is an adult chimp (someone may have released into the wild) or a bigfoot child. The deep vocals along with the smaller size would make me think it was an adult chimpanzee. The behavior and sounds seem correct for a chimp. :(

  • Dude are you kidding me? Do you really think these guys went to that length. I've had the bigs shake a tree exactly like this one did. They climb trees all the time. Those who have spent time out there amongst them know this fact. If you listen to the mindless blogs they'll see that this is this that or the other. This is a sasquatch no friggin doubt. The more people that come to the party the less logical or just plain stupid they get.

  • There is another posted video of a subject vilently shaking a tree but is standing on the ground. I cant remember the name of the video but there is snow on the ground in the video. The subject has very similar mechanics in its movements.

  • that's the real deal MK !!!

  • Murk! The vocalizations sound human.

  • could it just be a chimp?

  • If it sounds like a duck, and if it climbs a TREE like a duck.........
wait Ducks cant climb TREES! LOL Musta been a Sasquatch :)

  • Wow the image & sound would APPEAR to be what you would see a Young CHIMP doing.
This BF seems to be actually playing in the tree and making playful sounds. No way to tell but I WONDER how old they grow to be?some have reported white hair or white beards(Like MINE:) so I guess they live a pretty long time. Thanks MK, great job!

  • Do you know the year and location of the video? Many thanks

  • I do but I have to leave it in generalities for now. The video is about ten years old. The area is the deep south of the United States, somewhere in the Red River area. Thanks, M.K.

  • MK some of the most amazing juvenile footage their is.Wow ! He looks like 3.5-4 ft tall.

  • You're right cprah. It's hard to keep your eyes off it, isn't it? M.K.

  • --After close viewing of the video I feel that the creature  is about the same general appearance, size and body conformation as a chimpanzee, comparable to "Cheetah" of the movies, and makes similar noises. Chimpanzees also shake the trees like that when annoyed. HOWEVER, I am not opposed to the idea it might be the young one of the same type as the "White Bigfoot" in MK Davis' other video analysis posted here earlier. It would be a better situation if we actually had a better view of it. As far as I can tell, though, it has the small head, barrel torso, overly-long arms and short bowed legs of a Chimpanzee. It is also dark in colour.

The Great White North American Ape

The creature in the black and white sides of the comparisons above are all versions of an enhancement done by M.K. Davis from a trailcam video footage of what is referred to as a White Bigfoot. The footage is from an undisclosed footage but it is said to be from Texas. In which case the topmost comparison above might be the most pertinent. M.K. Davis discusses tyhe footage in the Youtube Videos, and since it is said to sometimes travel on four legs and sometimes on two legs alone (and sometimes very rapidly on two legs alone), I am classifying it with the reports of North American Apes or NAPES. there are periodic reports of "White Apes" in this category but I suspect that is more to do with the imaging systems of the nightvision equiment rather than the creatures being albinos. In the above comparisons, the "e has some important resemblances to all of the ape forms, while there is a rather important difference in comparing the head to the head shown by the female in the Patterson-Gimlin film. The shape of the head is much more like that of a gorilla.

Below are some individual frames selected from the video. I understand the greenery has been coloured in to provide contrast:

'Creek Walker' Adds To Bigfoot Cryptoterrestrial Argument

This is the latest upgrade to the M.K.Davis 'Creek Walker Bigfoot'...a supposed white Bigfoot captured on video. This offering is said to be presented in HD...it may be a higher pixel ratio instead. Nonetheless, the new video does show something unique.

    Creek Walker Muscle Definition

    Step-by-Step - Creek Walker

    Unusual Walk

I have zoomed and attempted to clarify a few screen captures.
In my opinion, if this is an example of a Bigfoot then I would venture to say that this is NOT a terrestrial being. The movement and relative head to body size is much different that we have been lead to believe. In my personal experience, the being I encountered was very similar in shape to this example. Its movement were more human-like and the head to body size ratio was also similar to that of humans.

It is my belief that the genre of Bigfoot and unknown hominids are, in fact, cryptoterrestrial and not natural creatures...at least in this dimension or time. These images are remarkable and add proof that the Bigfoot community needs to start thinking 'outside the box' as to the real origin of these creatures. I'd be interested in your comments...Lon

The following "White Ape" image was taken from a different Trailcam in Ohio:

A majority of reports in Texas seem to be associated with the major waterways. In fact, many of the reports in East Texas seem to be s[poken of as a parallel to the Florida "Skunk Ape"

Re-enacted Sketch at Bottom of Page

This report contains an added sketch drawn by Randy King in August, 2002
DATE: Late Summer, early Fall 1969

    LOCATION: Garrison, Texas, Nacogdoches County

TERRAIN: Family farm, forest surrounding farm.

OBSERVED: There are several chains of events in this report. During the time of these events I was 5 years old, but have talked with my Mother, Brothers, and Sister on several occasions about the eventsthat happened, and everytime I talked to them, they were amazed at how much I seemed to remember about everything that happened back then, with me being so young.
I remember it all very well, as it is burned into my memory, and I have fought nightmares most of my life due to these events.
My Father worked out of town and was gone for months at a time, so it was my Mother, two Brothers, and Sister as well as myself, and the Dogs. The first thing that happened, was my Aunt and Cousin had cameover to visit and spend the night. My Mother had asked them to come over, due to the fact, that something had been hanging around the house, she was not sure what it was, but she was scared, and thinking it was a prowler, she wanted somebody else there, with us. My Aunt, said shewasn't scared, and came over ready to confront the prowler if he showed up.
It was a Friday night, and was around 9:45-10:00pm. when all heard a noise out in the barn. It was a sound of something rummageing around in there. Well my Mother and my Aunt lead the way, both of themcarrying their pistols that my Dad and Uncle had bought them for protection while they were away working. We followed them at a slight distance, it was my Cousin, my Sister, and middle Brother as well asmyself. My oldest Brother had spent the night with a friend that night. We were a good 50 foot behind my Mom and Aunt, and was joking around and stuff.
Just as my Mom, and Aunt got close to the entrance of the barn, and started to round the corner to go inside with their flashlights, they all of a sudden screamed and turned and out ran all of us kids backto the house, screaming at us to "Hurry, Run" the whole way back to the house.
We all were curious as to what had scared them, so we asked them what they had seen. All they would tell us, is that as they turned the corner to enter the barn, something let out one of the most "Demonic,Evil Growls" that they had ever heard in their whole life. It was enough to let them know it didn't want to be messed with. We all
laughed at them and started to go look for ourselves. But the threats of getting our hides tanned if we did, convinced us, that something musthave really been wrong out there.
Up until then, we actually thought, that they were messing with us, and trying to scare us. So we stayed back at the house.
I know for a fact, that my Mother is a strong woman, who was raised in the backwoods of Oklahoma, and is not scared of just anything, much less a sound. So it had to be something she had never heard before, as it sent fear thru her.
We all spent the night talking about "What it might have been, lurking out in the barn".
The next night we heard something in the barn again, but didn't get to check it out, since the previous nights events had left my Mother and Aunt thinking that some sort of Devil or Evil beast was out there. So Sunday, my
Mom had my middle Brother take our two German Police Dogs, and tie them up in the barn. Their chains would only let them get to about 5 foot shy of the center pathway thru the barn. They were bothtied on the same side of the barn. Which left open the middle and the other side of the barn. She was sure that if that "Thing" came back that the dogs would take care of it, or keep it out of our barn. Nobody had realized up till this point, that the Dogs ran loose on the place, andhad not messed with whatever it was so far.
Sunday Night passed without anything being heard. So Monday morning, at approximately, 8:30, I followed my Mom to the barn to check on the dogs. She went in just before me, and came running back crying. She told me "Not to go in there"! I dodged to the right and ran past her.
In the barn, laying just off the side of the middle of the barn, was my calf. It was a young Dairy calf, that was like a pet Dog to me. I could whistle and this calf would come running up to me to be petted just like a Dog would. At first, I thought that the Dogs had killed it. But after examining it,and re-thinking it over and over in my head a million times or more, since then. I am sure it could NOT have been the Dogs. Evidence to suggest that they did not do it, was their chains stopped them a good5-6 foot from where the calf lay dead. And two is that the calf had his stomach ripped open and the insides were pulled out about only 2 foot orso, facing completely away from the Dogs. If it was the Dogs, the insides would have been stretched towards them and not away from them, as well as the stomach wound the Calf sustained. Point number three is that the Dogs ran loose and had never attacked any Calves, or Cattle before. So why did they all of a sudden start then?
We had Chickens on the other side of the barn, but I can't remember if anything ever got into their pens or not.
What I think happened, is that whatever had been coming into the barn, had came back, and the Dogs had to have just cowered in the corner while it killed my Calf, and feasted on whatever it wanted from the poor animal.
I repeat, there was no barking, or crashing around in the barn that night.
Now the last thing that happened during that time. It was a good week or so later, I had gotten up to go to the bathroom late one night, and wehad the windows open to keep it cool in the house, as we didn't have any air conditioning back then. As I re-entered the room, I heard somethingscratch on the window screen. I looked up and saw in the glow of the moonlight, some sort of demonic, apelike looking face, just staring at me.It seemed to be grinning at me and it had its hand up and was like it wasbeckoning me with it's finger to come closer.
Well I freaked out totally and woke up the whole house. My middle Brother who was 12 years old at the time woke up and saw it turn to run from the window. I screamed so loud I probably woke up the whole county.
It wasn't until around 1983, and I was talking to my oldest Brother about the whole lot of things that happened back then, and about the creature in the window. He was 15 years old back at that time in 1969.He informed me, that he had seen the same thing, and it acted the same way, on 3 seperate occasions, somewhere around the same time. He said that it would motion for him to come to the window as well, and he would pull the covers over his head and just shiver until he wentback to sleep.
Our house was off the ground built on blocks, and had about 3 foot of clearance under it, so where the things head came up on the window would put it around the 7 foot tall mark maybe a little taller.
When talking to my family about this, they reminded me of some local lore that was going around back then. It was about some sort of"Wildman" that was supposed to have been seen about 5 miles down the road from our house, wandering the woods. It was supposed to be really tall, actually it was classified as "Really BIG" and covered with darkcolored hair. Several of the local people had seen this thing, and there was several tales about it, in the community as to who seen it, and whatit was doing and such.
My Brother made the suggestion that maybe that is what had terrorized our homestead back then.
I am not sure as to what it was exactly, but all the pieces seemed to fit with whatever that "Wildman" thing was and what happened to our family back then.
We moved out the following month, due to the events of the Creature and it terrorizing our home. My Mother had phoned my Father where he worked, and told him that "She wasn't going to live in a house intotal fear, of some sort of creature, wandering around there at all hours of the night"!
Description of creature: Tall and Demonic, Apelike looking face. Seemed to be grinning at me.
Other Notes: One other thing I feel may have some relevance here, is we had a Horse that we had for a couple of years. We had bought it off a good friend, whom had several Horses, and we used to go ride this same Horse at his house. The Horse was so gentle, and good with us kids, that my Dad bought him for us. Shortly before these events started, (or when they came to our attention anyway) and completely afterwards, the
Horse seemed to go completely crazy. It was a gentle horse, at first, but it got to acting so crazy, nobody could ride it, and catching it became a royal pain. I have often wondered if this thing had also terrorized our Horse as well, especially since it seemed to just go completely crazy around the same time. We ended up selling the Horse after we left there, as that Horse was not the same as he once was.

    "Orangutan" reported loose in Texas:

Creature sightings reported in Mission for weeks

    May 01, 2012

NEAR MISSION — An orangutan-like primate reportedly roams the streets here, but no one has been able to capture an image of it — much less the animal itself.

Several law enforcement agencies have heard reports — often rumors — of a large orange- and red-furred animal that wears a white beard, but only one has a documented case.

On April 15, the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office received a call concerning the creature from a homeowner in the 6200 block of Western Road, according to information from Sheriff Lupe Treviño. Jose Garcia spotted the animal running into an orchard in the southwestern corner of Mile 5 and Western Road shortly after 10:15 p.m., according to the report. And Garcia told authorities a family member also saw it, several days earlier near Mile 3 and Western Road, west of Mission.

Investigators who went to the scene solicited the help of John Franz, a Brooks County cowboy, to help apprehend the animal. Dispatchers clocked in Franz's arrival several hours later at 3:29 a.m. April 16. It's unclear from the report if anyone else spotted the creature or if it was caught.

    LATEST ENCOUNTER

Tuesday morning, Mission police became the latest to catch wind of the animal when they received a report from a student aboard a school bus. The sighting of a large primate — later described as the size of a 13-year-old boy — was reported near Stewart Road and Mile 2, said Cpl. Manuel Casas, Mission police spokesman. An officer searched the area, but did not find anything, he said.

Lupe Tijerina, who owns a home just north of the intersection in Mission, was cutting the grass outside his home Tuesday afternoon. The 77-year-old said he hadn't seen or even heard of the alleged primate roaming his part of town.

"Ah, Chihuahua. Oh my golly," Tijerina said after hearing the animal was reportedly the size of a teenage boy. "That's scary. We have a lot of grandchildren and great-grandchildren over here."

Mission police later corrected the initial information released and said the sighting had occurred near Mile 2 and La Homa Road, which placed the new sighting in Palmview's jurisdiction.

Palmview police Chief Chris Barrera said he heard of reports in Mission, but his office had not received any calls.

Norma Vargas, 42, works at the H&H Meat Market at the Palmview intersection where the alleged orangutan was spotted Tuesday morning. Though she hadn't seen the animal, she said, her 10-year-old son Alberto had mentioned a sighting about two weeks ago as they drove through a neighborhood near Mile 6 and La Homa Road and came across a group of sheriff's deputies standing outside a home. Her son asked if she knew why the officers were looking up at the trees. She said no.

"They're looking for a monkey who bit his owner," she recalled Alberto telling her, and one of his friends who lives in the neighborhood had spotted it.

    EXOTIC ANIMALS

Indeed, Mission investigators believe a primate-like animal has been roaming the city for a few days now.

About two weeks ago, dispatchers received calls about a spider monkey, Casas said. And while officers did not catch that animal, they believe they traced it to a man who was selling them outside of the Mission jurisdiction.

Police, however, did not have further information on the spider-monkey case.

The sheriff said his office had not received any information about a spider-monkey vendor, but said he was not surprised by the sighting.

Drug runners have been repeatedly caught with exotic animals of various sorts, Treviño said. His deputies have found small primates, boa constrictors and even tigers.

When he headed the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force in the late 1990s, he participated in a raid where two caged tigers were found in a home north of Donna, he said. They belonged to a trafficker known as "El Diablo."

"It's really common on the Mexican side," Treviño said about owning exotic animals. "They feed their informants and traitors to (tigers)."

In recent news, an allegation has been made that it is legal to hunt for Bigfoot in Texas because there is no specific law protecting it as an "Indigenous nongame animal"

    http://www.star-telegram.com/2012/05/08/3946480/the-hunt-is-on-for-bigfoot-in.html
    http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/05/08/killing-bigfoot-ok-in-texas-if-hes-texan/
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/09/shoot-bigfoot-in-texas-is-legal_n_1501906.html

And the answer comes from a discussion of the matter in a different state, Tennessee:

    http://www.nashvillescene.com/pitw/archives/2012/05/07/matters-of-grave-importance-could-you-legally-hunt-bigfoot-in-tennessee
Whereas Texas is, "if we haven't told you you can't kill it, you can," Tennessee is all, "if we haven't told you you can hunt it, you can't."It seems that Bigfoot would be protected by the same rules the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency has for alligators. Much like Bigfoot, some folks are certain alligators have made their way into Tennessee, even though sightings of them are still very rare. About alligators, the TWRA says:

There is evidence that alligator populations are expanding north along the Mississippi River into Tennessee. Species which expand their ranges into Tennessee (such as alligators) are protected and may not be taken until a hunting season is proclaimed.

That's pretty clear. No shooting at things until the state has had a chance to rule on whether you can hunt it.
But there's a further bummer sentence for amateur Bigfoot hunters — "The taking, killing and/or illegal possession of hawks, owls, songbirds, endangered species or any other species for which a season is not set (e.g. snakes) is prohibited." Since we have no Bigfoot season and won't have a ruling on whether there will be one until Bigfoots are proved to exist, not only can't you kill a Bigfoot legally in Tennessee, you can't capture one and try to bring it back alive (unless you're a scientist).
After restudying the Texas law, it seems that EXACTLY the same situation exists in Texan law: Unless the authorities specify you can hunt it and they make specidfic allowances as to how it can be hunted and/or taken alive, it is categorically illegal to do so or ATTEMPT to do so. Furthermore it is also illegal to incite or induce others to hunt Bigfoot when it is against the law. The Bigfoot does NOT fall into the category "Indigenous Nongame Animals," stating that this was so was presumptuous and mistaken, and because of that the entire argument falls to pieces.

In this case the individual who had stated it was OK to hunt Bigfoot had misquoted the authority he had asked, misquoted the law, AND this information had been included in the initial press releases as well. It seems nobody was paying any attention to that part.
