This was originally something sent in to Bernard Heuvelmans as depicting his version of the Longnecked Sea-Serpent. However in view of its neck being relatively short, I would rather suggest that it represents the Greater Great Auk or Boobrie, or just possibly the shorter-necked Mackintosh Bell-Hoy island Sea-Serpent type.
